Once upon a time I met a Prince,

He was strong, handsome, charming and sweet.

He could sing a song just about anything,

He could paint a landscape as if he built it.

Every word that came out of his mouth oozed out of his heart,

He would do any and every thing to never rip my heart apart.

But this Prince had a dark secret no one knew about,

His singing voice was silenced and replaced with a monstrous shout.

His colors of choice were now only black and blue,

The bruises he left on me were never just a few.

I prayed to God that he could show me what went wrong,

Why has this hideous monster stolen my sweet Prince’s song?

I don’t know what became of that sweet Charming Prince,

I just hope he found the help he needed to make himself sing again.
