My Nephew

For my nephew Braiden.

He's 21 and a single dad,

His daughter is 3, her name is Bethany,

My nephew is strong, he has a big heart.

He's caring and loving and sometimes it hurts,

He tries and he gives, sometimes too much,

He will fight just as hard, it is all the same.

Just don't get in his face, he'll cut you down to size,

Leaving you feeling TRAUMATIZED.

He is quiet, none the less,

going over things in his head.

He fights for his daughter, she is his whole life.

Making plans to better his and her life.

She is his everything, nothing he won't do.

He's going to school soon, even working too.

So ladies in life, have patience, don't rush him.

Take your time, Braiden, you are a great guy,

A father, and a friend,

I know that you care, I know you are trying.

Stay focused, and positive,

The future is coming and your plans are on track.

Keep that NEGATIVITY off your back.
