My Friend

Let me tell you a story.

Let me tell you a story

A story of a friend

One who was loyal and true

Who stood by my side till the end

My friend is not a man

That stands upright and tall

My friend is a four legged

And that friend was my dog

His fur feels like cashmere

Soothing to the touch

He made me happy when sad

And I love him so much

He seemed to understand

When I had a bad day

He snuggled up to me

As if saying it'll be ok

My friend was named Kula

He came in my life at six weeks old

The last in his litter

And to me for $35.00 he was sold

I guess you could call him

My true partner in crime

Cause where ever I went

Kula was with me all the time

He saved my life

In MORE WAYS than one

And I'll never forget

All the things for me he's done

My Spirit Wolf was a gift

Given to me from the Great Creator

The bond that we had and love that we shared

Could never be stronger or greater
