My Body Is My Book
I am the author of my story.
My body is like the cover of a book
With my heart writing stories for the chapters that hide inside my bones
Under my thick white layer of skin
Some are broken
Some are whole
And some are unwritten
My heart will be writing stories until the day I die
Whether or not my book has a happy ending
Or a sad ending
Life gave me the opportunity to be my own author
With an organic pen that pumps out air and is filled with red ink
But has no eraser to go back and rewrite the story
My soul has already created
And buried deep within me
I will not let everyone turn the pages and read my book
Until I open their front cover first
And enter another person’s universe
I am a book that is precious and rare
A book that is hard to find
And those who find and capture me
Will become a part of my main original story
