Mute

The sound of silence.

I never really understood

How some people can

Communicate and not be shook

By how others talk so fast

I love hearing the silence

But also those vibrations

That come from those who speak

Without paying attention

I love to hear a voice

But not really its meaning

I love to hear a sound

But not really its origin

If you call my name

I really won't know

What you were talking about

As I will still be focused on that sound,

That still echoes all around

It's not that it's hard to process,

I just enjoy your reverberation

I am quite shy, it's true

And all that you say I will remember

But not because I 'heard' you

I simply stay quiet, out of tune

And feel the resonance of your words

Which I might use later

Shy: Notice everything

But never be noticed

They call me an introvert

''You're so quiet, aren't you?''

But I'm just being alert!

I love silence, it is not weak

It makes my words important

And they love hearing me speak

After a long time of me 'ignoring'

Or being in a room, reduntant

If you speak you repeat what you know

But if you listen you might learn something new

Although unnoticed I go

I love hearing the truth

Because people are based

On how many minds they reach

And the words that they preach
