Mummy's Scared

Saying Goodbye

To the baby in my belly

I’m sorry Mummy’s scared

Tomorrow I get a procedure that means you’ll never get here.

I’m turning out a light

That should be shining bright

But mummy’s scared and twenty-one and Daddy’s already gone

I’m sorry I won’t meet you

But chaos would ensue

If I brought you into a world

That wasn’t fit to greet you

So please know it pains my heart

To force us both apart

I want to give you a future

A home of love and laughter

But that’s not the place I’m living in

So, I’ll end your suffering, before I allow it to begin

I’m so sorry mummy’s scared
