Moving On
For you to feel as you feel right
I got lost inside myself
And failed to see
Who it was I am
Who I’m meant to be;
Who was that boy
Who turned into a man,
Who got lost inside his past
Unknown without a plan.
I failed to look ahead
To the days yet to come;
To the times of good and bad
To the times of hurt and fun.
To the times I look behind
To the times I can agree
To the times that I can find
Me inside of me.

Pints & Parkruns: Jubilee, Spennymoor
If MC Escher created a parkrun, it might look a bit like Jubilee. Based in a compact – but surprisingly lovely – park in the small County Durham town of Spennymoor, it twists and turns its way up repeated hills. Although basic physics says it must come down again, somehow this route never feels like it gives runners a proper descent.
