A Poem for Mother's Day

Just to squish those chubby cheeks,

Just to tickle little feet.

Just to chase, to run,

Just to have a day of fun.

Just to watch them sleep at night,

Just feel your world light up bright.

Just to hear them say your name,

Just to wonder how much changed.

Just to think it's all worthwhile,

Just to see their cutest smile.

Just to ease the smallest hurt,

Just to laugh as they play in dirt.

Just to watch them learn to talk,

Just to watch them learn to walk.

Just all of the things that make motherhood worthwhile.

Just a job so versatile.

Healer, Teacher, Comforter and more,

These are all a mom and more.
