You shattered me

And you thought you defeated me

I collected all the broken pieces

I rebuilt myself

I am a mosaic

Made of all the parts

You said weren't good enough

Of all the parts you broke

But I decided I was

Good enough

Even with the broken pieces

I carefully pieced them back together

With glue made of golden self-love

And now I'm more beautiful than ever

Because what's truly beautiful

Isn't something flawless

And perfect

It's strength

And determination

An unwillingness to be defeated

You left me broken

And ugly

But I put myself back together

With my own two hands

Can't take credit for

That's something I did

It took strength and bravery
