"On the elegant edge of a serrated blade..."

On the elegant edge of a serrated blade

releasing fear,

doubt,

confusion,

drawing down magic like a

stardust covered curtain.

Embracing the velvet soulful sound

of spinning stars

as an errant comet

slips by in the night like a mysterious lover.

Gracious wisps of stardust

float through the obsidian night

dipping their fingers through

the blackness leaving sequins in their wake.

Gliding fingers across a cosmic keyboard

the moon impatiently hangs in the sky,

her polished pearlescent gleam shimmers

unaware of her own reflection.

Patiently she waits,

looking for her suitor

to draw her into his embrace...

Her only understanding

of Safe.
