Moon Fate

Ocean’s Grace

The moon peeks between parted clouds

Does it know my secrets?

Does it know the thoughts are getting loud?

It’s shine dims as the clouds settle down

“I feel the same as you

How do we go about?”

It hides for a few minutes

No where to be found

There’s darkness and then there isn’t

I begin to shout

“Oh moon we are one!

Oh moon look who we’ve become!”

The moon strays away again

Shy as a mouse

“Come out to play!

We’ll see our day!” I say

Knowing the moon never shines in the suns shadow

“Please stay! No one ever does...”

It leaves me again and I become shallow

The deepest depths of me are out now

“Moon you make the ocean bleed, help me out somehow!”

The clouds don’t budge

And that’s my final nudge

Not even the sky sees me proud

A wave a goodbye

As I sink into the oceans waves

At least when I die

The moon can have a hold on me like it’s fate
