Monster

Depression

You stare at me with those cold eyes.

You mutter some words I cannot hear.

Though, I know what was on your mind

You claim that I'm wicked.

You claim I'm selfish.

You hate that I can see right through you.

I can recognize the games you play.

The way you set things up

The way you want me to fall

You try to use words to hurt me.

You try to turn people against me.

You know me better than anyone else.

My thoughts are something you want to change.

You want me to become some kind of Monster.

Where I'm tired of getting pushed

Where I'm tired of listening

Where I try getting what I want

But I'm not going to let that happen.

You come at the worst times.

You hurt people who love too much.

You turn people against each other.

You cause so many scars.

You want people to become some kind of Monster.

Some of us are strong and move on past you.

Some of us fall weak to you.

Some of us are stuck with you for months or even years.

You drive us crazy.

You get inside our heads

You make tears cover our cheeks.

And scars cover our arms

You are never satisfied.

You always want more.

Sometimes you come back.

Sometimes you're gone forever.

You're a Monster that forever lurks in the dark.

Kari Hammond

So, what I have up currently is some old pieces of stuff I did a few years ago. Trying to slowly move back into writing and am super grateful to all those who read.
