Thankful For You

I am thankful for your smiles,

you all make my life worthwhile.

Never have I been so proud of you three,

you'll never know how much you mean to me.

From the very first moment, we met,

I knew I would see brighter days ahead.

Although I know there'll be bumps along the way,

I'm ready to take that chance any day.

I want to watch you grow up,

I want to teach you all about love.

And when your hearts will break,

I will be there to wipe your tears away.

There will be times we will disagree,

and maybe you may not want to see me.

Just know my love will never fade,

and I will always be there for you every day.

One day you'll raise a family of your own,

and you'll realize how much love grows.

You'll remember all the steps we used to take,

and how many tries it took to reach our way.

Sadly, there will come a day when we will say goodbye,

But do not weep for me, I don't want to see tears in your eyes.

Let me live on through the memories,

I'll live in your heart, and visit your dreams.
