Misunderstood

A Love Story

It sucks being so misunderstood

At times there are things I wish I would

Have done differently and maybe you should

Have taken me seriously when I was in the hood

This lonely life has taken my very last good mood

I walk around not smiling and I really wish I could

But I just can't stop missing what I missed out on in the woods.

I think about the fun we could have had had you just tried

To see me as the person you would want by your side.

The whole time I expected something special to arrive

And it did but to someone else and to me you just lied

It was so easy to just leave me up there you didn't know I almost died, or maybe you did but you figured it was for the best

You didn't have to try to make me hide

Well now I'm back like a Phoenix from the ashes

And I don't care that our reality clashes

At least now I know the truth even though it smashes

My heart beyond repair and the things I hear you say trashes my ideas of there being any love there.

Now I'm numb and I just don't care

I don't care that you don't want me, I mean lets be fair

It's your loss not mine you should have taken me somewhere

You should have come to see me up there

You should have helped me more

You should have showed me that you cared

But you didn't and you missed out on me

And one of these days, you just wait and see

You'll come to realize What a friend you had in me

And your heart will break just like mine did

You'll say I didn't realize just how misunderstood one single person could possibly be...
