Missing You

Lonely

Here I am, awake, alone, and missing you.

How I yearn for your presence, your touch, your kiss.

So close, yet so far away.

It is like we are not meant to be, though our hearts tell us otherwise.

Shattering the barriers that keeps us apart.

Nobody seems to understand the toil that we endured to get this far.

Counting the stars each night as I wait for your return.

Your embrace is all I crave.

I can't stand missing you any longer.

For I know that you miss me as well.

Needing those late night serenades to put me to sleep.

Your soothing voice bringing me back down to earth.

Wondering how we made it this far without one another.
