I forgot how much it sucks to say goodbye.
That pit that grows inside you as you wave them away,
It loves to swallow me whole,
An empty vessel for an empty stomach.
You have stolen my heart
And have taken it with you.
Now I am alone and drowning
With only the ironic loneliness to keep me company.
Tonight I remembered
How big a bed feels half full.
