Midnight Methadone Underneath the Moonlight

The Girl Destroyed by Heroin Addiction

Comatose head, away with the fairies

Nodding away, slipping deeper into the deepest slumber

Methadone singing her the sweetest lullaby

The moonlit sky shining so bright

Sinking into oblivion, dreamscape heaven

The fluorescent lime green elixir beginning to work its magic

Departing her bedraggled stained divan, astral projection commencing

Looking down hovering above her sleeping empty shell remaining below

Levitating in the air, feeling free

Flying high, so far away

Leaving the druggie squalor behind, a journey into another dimension

"The works" hypodermic syringe, spoon and tinfoil wait patiently for her return

In the land of nod a beautiful girl awaits her arrival

Instantly recognizing her, gently whispering her name

"Sarah"

English rose, Nordic in her features

The scent of Timotei lingers in the air

Sadness

A vision tormenting

Of the girl lost forever to Heroin
