it's amazing how one simple thing,
a song, a picture, a noise,
can so easily snap you back in time,
back to that one place
back with those people.
how you can feel the crispness of the night air
and smell the same musky scent
as you did so long ago.
a mere moment frozen in time,
awaiting to be awoken again
in your thoughts.
it's amazing how one little thing
has the power to bring you back
to a specific moment
and remember it exactly how it was,
as if
picking up where you left off —
the emotions you felt,
the thoughts you had,
everything.
