Ever since that gloomy day,
the day I turned and walked away…
I’ve had some issues understanding,
how one's heart could endure withstanding…
The pain I felt was meant to stay,
my beating heart had gone astray…
How was I to know that you would be,
still holding almost all of me….
In your hands lies my heart,
Even though we’re so far apart…
Going about my life is completely a joke,
how long now has it been since we’ve spoke…
It’s clear to me now that you’ll always be here,
but the pain is all I have left to hold dear…
Ever since that gloomy day,
the day I turned and walked away…
Sorrow has taken over my soul,
heartbreak has finally taken its toll.

Withholding
Every time I close my eyes the vision of my brother's lifeless body, blood dripping from his fragile hand onto my face, stains my eyelids. There is not a day that goes by where I don’t wish it was me instead of him. I know my parents feel the same way. They can’t even look at me. Haven’t really since the funeral. I don’t blame them, though. It’s my fault that John isn’t here. I know it, they know it, everybody knows it.

Before Sylvester the Cat, there was Sylvester the Dog
Sylvester was a Merrie Melodies canine Sylvester, the Cat, is a beloved Looney Tunes character who debuted in March 1947 in the animated short Life with Feathers. The iconic Mel Blanc once said that he enjoyed voicing Sylvester, one of his favorite characters. The cartoon short that was near and dear to Blanc's heart was Bird's Anonymous which starred the popular cat.
