Bright baby blues Shine with glittering wonder, And linger on stained memories Etched into our bones.
“Do you remember-” A breathless, “yes.” Between us, a shared laughFrom looking years back.
Hair a little longer And falling in soft curls, Style altered to trend, But it’s still you.
Goofy and lopsided, Lips shyly upturned; Your smile is the same, Brilliantly unchanged.
How have you managed To remain so fixed, So truly yourself, Despite the toiling of time?
There is that youth I remember from long ago, Resting in your heart and Seemingly set in stone.
A reminder of myself Finds it’s home with you; Safe in your soft soul and Hidden from the world’s view.
