Me, Myself and I
It's always everyone else that leaves.
Me, myself and I.
It's always who it's been, everybody else just comes and go. They often like to leave as they please.
I trust people too easily, it's how I always get hurt. I guess it's always my fault. Nothing will ever change.
I've lost people who I thought would always be in my life forever, then reality hits me hard nobody ever stays and nothing is forever.
How do I blame myself I'll never know, because in the end I'm all I have.
Because everybody else leaves.

It Only Took One Minute.......
It only took a minute. I was sitting at the computer in my office when the phone rang. I picked up the receiver and then laid it down my desk as I went to find the student who the call was for. Within seconds I was back at my desk, ready to resume typing, when I heard the student yelling obscenities at me for listening in to his call through the handset that was still lying on the desk. Sick and tired of the lies he was spewing, I was up running down the hall, ready to kill him. By the time I reached him, I had calmed enough not to hurt him, but as I turned back towards my room, I knew that I couldn’t go on like this any longer. The decision was clear. I had to leave.

When the Robots Took My Job
This is for RM Stockton's Write Club prompt for the month of April: AI Please allow me to vent. For "college," I went to a scam school that is now closed. We were promised internships that were never spoken of again after admissions, and we were promised help finding jobs. The first time I went to the career counselor's office, she was completely frazzled. She had no idea what to do with us, the film majors. The second time I visited her office, I let her know that I'd found myself a job, and she was visibly relieved.
