Poem

beneath her skin is so much more

Than what she realises,

Her whole life she put herself down

Wondering whether to smile or frown

She doesn’t seem to know her worth

Instead she’s sunken by her boyfriend's last words

He passed away two weeks before

Her dad left and said no more

Yet she won’t tell anyone what she’s feeling inside,

Instead she simply tries to hide

The scars that lie on her skin

And her bleeding heart that is broken within

You may think she is doing fine

But I question someone to ask if she alright

Quietly she stays behind after class

To simply try and focus at last

But when she tries to forget the regrets

There's no one to help her build a new mindset

The thing is theeese journeys do not end here

Everyday someone has to face a new fear

But struggling in silence doesn’t need to carry on

Except this society has everyone acting like it’s wrong

To show how you truly feel even in the dark

What about battling depression together as one

So nexts time you see someone holding stuff in

Just take a Minute, and start a Beginning

A new chapter for someone else’s life

So that they can experience

A new sort of light 💗
