is like a towering skyscraper.

you both built it.

you both created it.

but one of you left it.

now, you're forced to level it.

a masterpiece that took so long to create

is now reduced to dust and rubble.

a promising relationship that lasted so long

is now reduced to a mere memory.

maybe it was for the better.

5. stranded.

alone.

but all of this beauty.

all of this splendor.

am i truly alone?

6. weakness is just a staircase

leading to strength.

this hardship is only the cornerstone

to the city you're going to rebuild.

brick by brick.

you'll make a masterpiece of yourself.

7. consuming.

raw and pure.

they rise from the fire.

fireflies in the night sky.

a glowing, soft amber.

floating to the heavens.

until the burn themselves out.

all becomes dark,

but they shall rise again

from the ashes of life.

8. funny how the ones

who are supposed to love

you the most, hurt you the most

the people who said they would be there

left you when you needed them the most.

they abandoned you,

but you're also better off

without them.

have people

who will

love you,

but few

will help

you grow.

10. people surround us every day.

we are constantly engulfed

in conversation and communication,

we are the most connected generation ever,

so why do we feel so lonely.
