make lots of love & not war

will you deal with

when i'm hard to deal with

when you kiss me

close your eyes & seal them

elude your feelings, to listen

even if it's, not worth the span of your attention

to reel in, or invest in my passions & obsessions

connect with my etceteras

& eclectic moments, of self indulgence

long enough to refocus

to propel your shoulders

when they're hunched over

with observant observations

giving you a once over, like gazing

noticing roses, when they're withering

& hearts becoming colder; shivering

aging, though not getting older

just getting over

the past, to let the present last longer

than the last ones who said

you were the wrong one for him

i'm stronger than them

my body of work, unearths comparisons

careless men, are embarrassments

juggled your heart

when they should've cherished it

though who am i suggesting such things

as if my motives & mind, at times, aren't just on one thing

for sure i'm trying to score

& make lots of love & not war

it's those wars that test our strengths & restraint

is you is, or is you ain't

in it to win it, if we tear or if we break

mending begins when we're committed to stay

make lots of love & not war

heartbreak
