I hope she'll answer my letter
I hope she gives me a sign
and I hope she dares herself towards me
to let go of what’s behind...
If we ever meet one day down the street
I would be the doormat on your floor
just to see you walk with you some more

It’s February 14, on this day of love
guess who I am dreaming of...
There are feelings that I’ve had for weeks now
cause I am that animal, that needs to prowl
...in the darkness of night,
I have to howl, but I don't bite
I could imagine her taste and her sent
that look into your eyes... may she vent
around my mind and all around
she would make me work without a sound
La femme la plus belle, Mademoiselle Gabrielle
That feeling inside
that terrifies my pride
to say yes, to give it our all, before the Love Fall
And I dream of you every night
I keep the right side of the bed in sight
...just in case my letter arrives to you tonight
and you respond without a fight

Harboring Happiness - Day 1
Today in harboring happiness, I idle on the front porch while a finch flitters through the resident pile of leaves littering my yard. The hounds huff at her rustling between cracks in the sagging, sunbaked fence. I wonder if she is nesting or scavenging for rootless seeds. Yet, happiness imagines she is playing hopscotch instead, as if even birds understand these silly little things need time and a place to exist.
