Lust

Lust is all we seek.

My skin crawled with the scent that you devoured me in.

You liked to haunt me. You liked to show me that I wouldn’t move on without the memory embedded in the back of my head.

Like the old replays of my favourite classic, “The Streetcar Named Desire”, so unnecessary, yet so pertinent. This is because you knew without reason that I will always be yours.

I walked out of the steam engine train in 1933, and I had one thought in my mind.

You.

Dressed in lily white with a blue lace wrapped around my lily white dress, I hurried out of the train holding my blue hat so that it wouldn’t fly away.

Deja-vu.

That was all you were to me.

I ran towards the love I thought I would grow into. The one we all have to settle for.

What was love anyway?

All I thought of when I thought of you was the incessant passion that we shared.

I want you so bad.

My mind told me that, but my heart told me to stop.

See it was wrong for a lady to behave like this.

But it was lust.

Not me.
