Love Sick

A poem about my weary little heart

This is a generic photo because I'm a basic bitch.

Moonlight shines down and reveals the ash of dead souls

as she and I walk this land alone.

Screaming terrors awaiting in the darkness

as we begin to run, the heartless draw near.

It's all so clear

It lingers here.

I turn to look into her eyes but I see shades

Of rose petals and soon my vision fades

Mesmerized and in this haze from all these vapes

I begin to contemplate

How did we get to this place.

My mind races back to when it was just her and I

And as she caressed my cheek, I thought that I had died

and went to the skies finally to see the prize that hides

within the divine as my life flashes before my eyes.

Laying on the forest bed surely thinking I’m dead

galaxies colliding inside my head

gravitating to another dimension instead

As I’m fed to the monsters watching my body bleed

far across the dreams that have become so serene

that they must be dreams but why can’t I see?

Her teeth dug deep into my back, pulling me into her mouth

I could feel the blood drain from my body, drain from her mouth.

It was in this moment of clarity all was clear to me.

The love she had ran deeper than fear within me.

Encapsulated in a dark zone

Body broken but remained open

Like a poet’s words unspoken

Frozen in her love chokin’

On air that redefines life

I wish I had not died

I wish I had one more night

To see the beauty in this life.
