Love Never Dies

What do you love?

You have the patience of a turtle

Slowly deciding what is right

You are sweeter than honey

On any kind of night

You let go

Of what no longer serves you

Sharing the wealth

To be another person's treasure

You are as humble

As a gentle breeze

Cooling the air

As each breath enters your lungs

As kind as words like candy

Dancing off of your tongue

You are able to go with the flow

Like the current

That carries a rainbow

Forgiving

In what has no real meaning

Celebrating the victories

That we all embrace

Because this life we live

Is not a race

Accepting all things

That may seem different

Challenging the opportunities

That the universe

Throws your way

Believing that anything

Can be as possible

As blinking your eyes

Achieving the hopes

That cross your skies

To love it all

Because love

Never dies

About the Creator

Kayton Hickenlooper

I write to clear my mind. To get out of the fog of daily confusion. An artist by heart. To live, laugh, and grow.
