Love Like the Moon 🌑

I must've been born on a full moon,

'cause I've always been FULL of emotion.

If it's one thing I know how to do,

it's "feel".

And just like the full moon,

emotions come and go.

One night the moon is full,

& The next it isn't.

One minute you might feel angry,

& Before you know it,

you won't.

ANGER is an emotion.

LOVE is an emotion.

Whatever it is you feel when you "VIBE" with someone.

That's all EMOTION.

Just like the moon &

its nightly conversions,

emotions change.

If one day you wake up & what you feel for me isn't the same as it once was.

If one day you wake up & what you feel for me fades away.

Or even if it hasn't faded,

but the feelings have been pushed farther back than intended.

Just know I DON'T BLAME YOU!

I know loving me is something like a lost art.

It's HARD.

& Learning to do so will be like learning a dead language.

But if ever you wake and what you once felt for me has gone.

Know I'm fortunate to have encountered the person within you.

No matter what others have to say

you're a REAL treasure trove.

Every day that I wake to see your Sweet Face,

I will pray that you see past all my flaws.

& every night,

I will wish that one day we can look back

on what was "the rest of our lives"

But only time will tell.
