Love Groceries

Life was suppose to give lemons, not onions.

I remember birthdays of people that I no longer speak to.

Would I even nod if I saw them at the grocery store?

No, probably not. I don't like opening those kinds of doors.

Doors to feelings.

Feelings like 'oh hello' and... 'I use to date your son but that's alright I understand the fright and flight response, it's so common, love just came in like a bombing'...

When the rubble settled I laid on my bed for weeks wishing life would give me lemons so that I; sugar and spice, could make something sweet for everyone to enjoy, instead I was blessed with raw onions which only made me cry.

So when you ask me, "would you like to come to the store?"

Very occasionally will I say, "Oh yes, sure".
