You have taken my faith,

and locked it away.

I no longer feel safe,

you won’t need me to stay.

I have killed all my love,

and buried it deep.

You won’t need any gloves,

but I know you will weep.

Our truth is revealed,

and pages will turn.

Their tears we will steal,

all the hope we will burn.

All these sinister smiles,

they’ve got nowhere to go.

Our hearts running miles,

a sweat death you will know.

Let’s drown the unknown,

and keep us alive.

A betrayal condoned,

these moments will die.

We’ve left them behind,

and remember them well.

With a romance so blind,

there’s a story to tell.
