Look Closer...

Look closer for things are rarely what they seem.

We should not be so quick to judge one another.

Through the ever-changing lives of you and me.

We should remember to never judge a book by its cover.

For under the layers of defense, beneath the masquerading pretense.

There is a heart once as Innocent and pure as yours.

You don’t know the things they have seen or the places they have been...

I guarantee everybody has fought their own silent wars.

There are battles you will find we all fight in our minds.

If we only communicated more with each other we would understand.

That we are not alone we can relate it really is never too late.

To reach out and take comfort from another’s hand.

Look closer through your eyes let your heart be your guide.

Do not let preconceptions fool you, do not allow yourself to go blind.

To the essence of who and what we truly are inside.

Let go of all control over all that is not yourself and accept what you find.

We are each so different but we are also much the same.

Everybody wants sunshine while nobody ever wants the rain.

But we can’t see the beauty of the Rainbow unless we have the perfect blend.

And such is life, this my message to you my faithful friend.
