Look. Look around.
See the people, the adults, the elderly
in the busy streets rushing, pushing, barging past
blocking people in their paths.
Look. Push again.
See that children do the same.
They copy, then we complain.
Look. Stop. Think.
Is it us that are to blame?
To blame for our selfishness indeed.
We have created a generation of greed.
The need to be first, to be number 1.
We planted that seed, into the minds of our little ones.
As they say "Actions speak louder than words"
Doesn't that speak to you?
Aren't you the ones that worry for what the younger generations will become?
Yet you judge them for how they behave?
Look. Look around.
Me. You. Him. Her. She. He. I. Us.
We did this.
Our little ones they look, they hear, they act, but they don't think.
Why should they when they look up to us?
Every minor detail that we do,
they copy and do it too.
They act like us, they talk like us, and they become us.
So why do WE get annoyed?
Why do WE shame the younger generations?
When it is us to blame.
Someone once said "We make the world we live in and shape our own environment" that was Orison Swett Marden.
Listen.
It is us to blame, and it's time to change.
