Living the Life of Loving a Rodeo Man

Pushing cattle all day from dawn to dusk, and when her cowboy rides away you can bet she’s left in the dust.

He works all week to pass out on the couch while she’s laying alone in bed with her arms stretched out.

The bed is cold just like his heart, reminding herself he loves her as she lay in the dark.

He kisses her goodbye and loves her goodnight, that's good enough for her even though she wished he'd hold her tight.

Can't get mad or blame him cause its how he's always been, but you can bet she takes care of him like she’s heaven sent.

He’ll leave her on Friday with all his rodeo friends and she’s stuck at home alone doing all his laundry again.

He's gone all the time and she rarely gets to go, but she knows he carries her love with him wherever he goes.

He'll win the whole thing and blow all his money at the bar, wished he save some to take her out but he's always gone too far.

So between now and then til she sees him again she’s livin the life of loving a rodeo man.

He's the man of her dreams and her best friend, she misses him when he's gone, don't care where he's been.

He stays faithful and true, does the best he can do. I'm quite sure for her, he'd rope the moon..

She knows that he loves her but its so hard to be the woman of his dreams to a man she never sees.

Cause he's a cowboy man and he's gone all the time, chasing his dreams to make hers come true.

His home away from home is that rodeo trail and he does the best he can do,

to remember to call her and tell her he loves her and that he'll be back soon.

But sometimes the bars and them old guitars drag him away before he can.
