Always a smile on your face, never a hint of dismay.

Yet there are those lurking beneath, to lead you astray.

Mocking your success, taunting your friends.

Wishing at some point, this nightmare would end.

They tell you and tell you, your way is not right.

Yet they're the ones without a strong enough light.

You seem to always bring a shadow, that follows you around.

They will always move their lips, yet you'll hear no sound.

You follow in their steps to see what you find.

No sense of love, nor spark in your eye.

Every day you would walk, peaceful it seems.

But turmoil ensues when you're not in their dreams.

They're bothered by your actions, angered to the heart.

They'll keep trying and trying to tear you apart.

They will never succeed, though they may misbehave.
