Little Black Girl

1...2...3... Push...Breathe

As the crown of her baby's head comes into the world another statistic is born from a wedlock mother.

She can be jealous of other black women

Or, become a TV personnel, doctor, or biologist.

Yet, all black women seem to be known for is bringing other women down.

Fornication is their #1 sin.

Black mothers tend to push their black daughters away leaving their sweet tenderonies to fend for themselves.

Sex, drugs, and dope boys

Trying to be that Flyy Girl Tracy Ellison out of .Philadelphia author Omar Tyree had every black girl wanting to be.

Sassy and fast but far from classy.

Take a walk in my shoes and you'll realize a real black girl’s reality.

She wants more than a WIC check and a load number from DFAC pushing a thrift store baby stroller

She wants to be around other girls who want more out of life then being a baby mother

Or asked if she's pregnant because that's not every broken black girl’s fantasy.

She envisions herself having intellectual conversations that aren't centered on hair.

And, even though the worst thing that has ever happened to her happened when she was in K-12th grade

She was bullied so badly so much

She wished over and over she could be white.

Her own people had driven her to the edge of her sanity

Now, she's suicidal

Why were black people the only one she ever had racial tension with?

They made her feel the possible was impossible

So, tell me how can black lives matter when it's cold to put your neighbor down?

So down that she's popping prescription pills to numb the pain

You never know what someone else is going through

The laughs

The tears

The betrayal of those friends who envied her deep down

So many of them have fallen victim to the social economic system not doing bad all by themselves

Forever in bondage

She just wanted to be successful

Even though there were so many temptations around her

Drugs

Selling her soul for the devil to make her a rich slave

She's in college and working missing her dad who died of brain cancer

Her family doesn't give a damn about her

They want her to fall victim to the welfare system to.

Is that what it means to be black?

Praying for someone else's downfall

Every day she fights off temptations that most are guilty of.

And even though she writes books its funny how her own people still find a reason to pick on her instead of supporting her

Yet, they're always talking this new age spirituality talk-positive and negative thinking

When did this become a science curriculum?

She didn't get the memo

Her visions of 401K, retirement at age 50, a media sensation and confidence

Little black girl

She's now a young adult

No friends? That's cool.

But she got her Ken doll forever

She's more than just a sew-in, and clown beat face

Now, she's much stronger

Through the bitter tears and prayers she has learned to believe in love.

So when others make fun of her she credits that to her doing something right

She's no longer in war with her dark side

Little black girl

She's getting closer to the light of her success
