He no longer heard it,
Hiding his ears
Into big bulky headphones,
Inside those headphones,
Music played too loud
Too deaf to take turn the music off,
Too deaf to listen,
Too deaf to hear others,
Too deaf to hear his heart,
Too deaf to even notice what's around him
So deaf that it made him blind
Thinking that music will mute everything else
Thinking it will make things better
Cowardly hiding behind the big bulky headphone
The bulky headphone that are scratched up and old
They were his shield
Shielding his ears everything
Shielding him from other's opinions
At last, a rock was thrown,
Breaking his headphones,
He was able to hear
He heard, he hears, he listens
Hearing splashes of water at the water fountain
Birds sat on the tree branches; chirping
Children laughing while they jump in mud puddles
Laughter, splashes, chirping,
It all touched his heart
Paving a genre of music not in his music
but in the world.
