Listen to My Face

A Love Story

Listen to my face.

The glisten of the sweat, evaporates

toward the sky.

Listen to my face.

The eyes can scan around a room

to find you.

Listen to my face.

A sign-post to my given race:

that's all you need.

Listen to my face.

Lips locking round a sentence

that ends in, "No!"

Listen to my face.

A subtle hint of a smile.

Come. Sit a while.

Listen to my face.

Don't make the first mistake.

Make a move.

Find a grove.

What have you to prove?

Listen to my face.

Walk out the door and never know

the truth that lay beneath.

The truth between my teeth.

Listen to my face.

And by your chosen grace,

I'll listen to yours too.
