Listen to Me
Broken Lives
walks out take a seat on the floor
thinking she want to be here anymore
she never been afraid of suicide
but never the one to try
more then a twisted lullaby
introducing the people who saved my life
Everyday its something new in his life
Nothing ever going right
But he keeps a smile on his face
So he can portray
Like he can make it through day
His girl lost their first kid
reoccurring addiction is setting in
They had no hope other than the end of a rope
in the form of a needle that had been misused
Track Marks covers their bodies confused About
what to do rehab seem to be the next move
been in the system for over 5 years
foster home after foster home wish they could disappear
they always promised one another it was very clear
they would never raise a broken family of their own
never could put a kid though what they call home
punishment equals solitary confinement
when home life is more violent then your environment
what are you to do when the one that raised you Imprisons to your own bedroom
of course you turn the streets for family that got you in a courtroom
every day of the a week now your looking at doing time for a crime you didn't do
They both work two job trying to survive
One with a kid at home the other trying to stay alive
Once she done at the home she pulls a double
her kid finally falls asleep now she having trouble
trying to stay awake doing homework till they both fall asleep
he been locked up just hit his year mark
when he calls home no one cares response
This isn't at all what he wanted to feel discard
He made his mistakes this wasn't how it was to end
Everything he did left him feeling haunted again
adapting to the aftermath of problems he wasn't their for
he never know his family was falling apart till the divorce
Finally went through his family turn in to a deformity
Composed of vanity and narcissistic remarks that no amount of therapy
Could bring back from the darkness
