To whom it may concern,

Your opinion is not the only one that matters.

I am also entitled to mine.

I can pick my own clothes and make up my own mind.

How dare you reject me for not thinking like you,

isn’t that exactly what you said I do?

Your logic is flawed and it makes little sense,

You should focus on your own problems, yes?

I really do get what you’re trying to say,

But calling me names won’t get you your way.

I don’t care if you’re bigger and stronger than me.

There’s a reason we call this the land of the free.

If you constantly silence everyone’s views

Then what is the point of all that you do?

What do you stand for? Please, explain

Is it equality you want, or is it to reign?

Because I don’t see how it’s equal for me

If I must become a slave so you can be free.

That’s not how it works that isn’t true fairness.

And I’m really not angry I just want to raise awareness.

Why do you care about the color of my skin?

Does it change the person I am within?

This privilege thing is something I’ve never seen,

Nobody’s ever really helped me.

But being black is just the same,

It doesn’t mean you belong in jail.

Asians aren’t always at the top of the class,

Everyone really just needs to relax.

If we let a few jerks keep us divided

Then we have no hope to be truly united

Communication is the only way

So lets come together and each have our say

Maybe then a solution will come to us soon

I’m willing to try it, how about you?
