Limbs Colored Red
I wrote a lot during the time I spent in the hospital.
Even though your beauty comes in forms of hurt, painted by different shades of red,
You must learn to evolve from such standards
The ones that leave you burned and scarred
and left out to face the world
With nothing but the trail of crushed hopes and shattered dreams, covered in tears and stained with blood, that only leads the way back to the start
The journey is a tough one though
You'd probably break down and declare the war to end not even halfway down the path
But if you make it all the way to the end,
even if that means you're dragging your half-dead, broken body through the finish line,
the reward at the end of it would be one greater than any charred and scarred skin covering your limbs could ever give you
