Light Fading

Love

Somber light, fade not behind the mask of that peak

For nightlight wilts the passion so free of guilt

And brings the hearts mind to feel meek

The black erases yellow with feeling, do not tilt.

Telling a world it is to lay, but still so much left to be tipped and spilled.

Tomorrow's love may not love, not like love today.

It may bring battle, break, ache or tear, so let be light, please cease to give way.

O, when the yonder glow grows near to settling down, all love can't wait

until morrow comes, for it may break, I fear.

But, o, soft light, look upon as it does illuminate your lover's face, beauty is a heavy weight.

Sweet night, you give a new bright beam, of a radiance to the quiet world, our love is purged of blinding light under which the lovers sat, but now young lovers love sweet, through the deafening silence has it richly cut.

Now beaming stars wink to you, glistening with sickeningly sweet charm, that the light night seems to fade into.

But small, gentle light, give off no alarm, offer a disguise for an otherwise dark and empty space giving cause to feel harm.

But overwhelmingly loves only hear can see through light and see through dark.
