Lift The Veil

This piece is about seeing the magic within the world. Nature is a beautiful and mystifying thing that we all can enjoy. No matter how skeptical people may be about magical beings, we can all agree that our world is magnetizing.

Out in the fields where wildflowers paint the ground in a yellow hue,

that is where the fairies dance.

While deep in the forest, with air filled with morning dew as a cauldron brews

that is where the witches prance.

In the middle of the ocean, and in lakes so blue,

that is where the mermaids lure the lost men into a trance.

While walking in the cold, dark, empty avenues,

that is where the ghosts disappear at your first glance.

But worry not, skeptics!

For they do not cause harm

to those who are willing and those who are not

to be charmed by their magic touch.

Though, you may lose an arm or two,

if you dabble or sacrifice a bit too much.

We are surrounded by magic,

but do not fear.

For the raindrops that fall tragically

are merely angels' tears.

Little did we know,

we have been watched by the unknown

for so many years.
