Life in Motion

A Poem

Motion

Life is always in motion

You stop to think

But how can you stop when your day is a constant commotion.

You stop to wonder; what, why, where and how

Just how did today get to a point of complete devastation?

How do I become me again

How do I stop the isolation?

Who can help you when you’re not sure how to help yourself anymore?

Should you carry on pretending to be strong or should you realize you’ve been shaken to the core?

Maybe I should listen to everyone’s opinions and advice,

How do I choose?

Should I count to ten and roll the dice?

Do the obvious thing Hannah, be happy and stay safe.

If only life was so simple,

If only life was so straight.

They say day to day gets easier,

And that time is a great healer.

There is only hope, pride and strength waiting

But for now that man is screaming in my silence.

One day amongst all the world's commotion,

I’ll be standing there smiling even through my shyness.
