Lies

A Poem About the Effects of Depression on a Lover

You say you love me,

I say I love you too.

It would be a perfect love story,

If only it was true.

You say you hate me,

I say I hate you too.

But, once I have moved on,

You say you loved me all along.

Why are we so full of lies?

You talk about killing yourself,

Whenever we disagree.

You cut yourself,

And place the blame on me.

I only wish you could see,

The effect this had on me...

About the Creator

Mermaid Lilliana

Just a girl who has seen a lot of both the good and bad in this world in an awfully short time.

Also a mermaid, and a fire dancer. A poet, and a musician. Learning to fly, and studying my own mind in attempt to conquer my struggle with PTSD.
