Letting Go

Wings

Sometimes I remember certain things

And intense emotion wells up inside

The anger and hurt will crush my wings

If I allow these feelings to magnify

Acknowledge the past as it is done

Accept that it cannot be altered

Forgiveness does not mean you have won

But rather that I will no longer falter

I still see your ridiculous lies

Forever embedded in your skin

But I shall let the thoughts minimize

And find peace in life from within

I can not say I will always be on top

I can not say I will always instantly forgive

But holding onto anger I will try to stop

And a richer more fulfilling life I will live
