Final Words to a Love Affair #VocalNPM

How do I begin such a letter of despair

Filled with truths and tales of things that will never be repaired

Of magic and mystery compacted into lonely nights

A fairy tale so raw with not a glimmer of a hopeful light

A promise of broken clocks and shattered hands

A promise that leads both hearts towards lonely paths

All we had to do was take a leap of faith and understand

A simple question, a simple yes, a joyful dance

But where would that leave us as the moon strikes twelve

Would we have been so different with someone else

Is fate so twisted to have us test the waters

Only to be left drunk on empty promises of tomorrow

How do I begin such a letter I wish not to write

Filled with words of love and whole some nights

Should I run my pain and scribble truthful nonsense

Or run to you and hope there's no goodbye, but one more chance
