Leap

Poetry as honest as I can provide.

Phoenix Preservation. On top of the neighborhood.

With the courage I need on the tip of my tongue, I endlessly search the corners of my mind for the wisdom to know my heart is just.

I want to dive in deep. Chance everything on passion and love. And as steadily as my hand covers my heart, that beats faster with every second, I linger on the thought.

The risk. A chance. Endless fleeting moments encircle my soul. I know what I want. I know what I need. And the two have finally met at the crossroads of a decision in front of me.

So, why do I hesitate? What do I fear? The only way to move forward is to leap, but here I stand on the edge for what seems like eternity.

Destiny awaits my courageous leap. A victory I've known in my dreams awaits my leap. So, why do I hesitate? What do I fear? My lifelong struggle shall no longer reap.

Today, my friend, I leap.

About the Creator

Matthew Snyder

Howdy y’all! Who am I? Well it’s quite simple. I’m a rootin’ tootin’ outdoor adventurer. A sensitive, introverted poet. A funny guy, a jester who is sometimes too sarcastic for his own good. A film connoisseur. I’m Matt. Hello and welcome.
