Lavender Lover
This is your Rose
Let me love you
For as long as you grow
Be careful of my thorns
I don't want them to show
But they're a part of me
As you may now know
The sun touches you
With a Gold & gentle glow
I'm so happy you're
The one I chose
Sometimes I bloom
A little slow
Please wait for me
To get out of this doze
You are vibrant,
Chromatic
& consequently pose
I can't help but wonder
How you can see the meadows
I try & try
But never get close
But now I have you
To get me out of the
Shadows
I want to feel the rays
I see land on your
Lilac face
I want to endeavor you
As you soak up the sun's
Sweet grace
I want you to know
You get rid of
My grey
But sometimes
That just isn't the case
I truly believe my seed
Was misplaced
There's far too much shade
& not enough space
One day
I'll find where
I can mature
It'll be someplace
Where I feel more secure
I'll join you
In your beauty & compose
Just remember
I'll always be here
I'll always be your Rose
