Laundry Limbo

I don't know how to separate my darks and lights.

I found a lover in your laundry pile

I couldn't tell if they were dirty or clean

So I chucked them back in

And did a little thinking

I struggle with what not to do

I realize I was all over you

But it is also true

That I may have been drinking

Surely people smile while they are on cocaine

But is it as bright as the smile

Brought from a rainbow after the rain

If I believed I could tell the difference

Maybe it would ease the pressure on my brain

Why can't I chuck you back in?
